Ok, I’m going to be annoying and add some pointless commentary. My sister asked me if I would get mad if Tangled won Best Animated Picture at the Oscars over TS 3. I said no. A non Pixar Disney movie winning in that category? HELL YEAH. That would be amazing! Tangled was absolutely stunning visually and the story was superb. But here’s the thing; if it’s going to win Best Animation, what is Toy Story 3 going to get? Not Best Picture, that’s for sure. The Academy is biased against animated movies in that category and it’s already unfair that those Disneyland resort workers are protesting TS 3’s Best Picture nomination. Pixar and Lee Unkrich & the artists did nothing to them so the protest seems pointless to me. So I still think this movie should win Best Animated because it was the best of 2010 and it defined the year for a lot of people, myself included.
